I will have some money next month And I want one of these two rifles, I will eventually buy both, but can't decide on which one to buy first.

MKII

pros-
-cheaper to buy
-cheaper to shoot
-I need another .22 because my .22 right now has deep sentimental value -I would cry if it got messed up
-I can mess around with it easier (like changing the stock)
-I can mess with it and not feel bad like I would if I meesed up an original 1903A3
-I need a trainer for my hunting rifle
-great survival rifle

cons-
-It can not legally take down a deer
-I don't have a 30-06

1903A3
pros-
-It is a classic American rifle
-I need a 30-06, I have a .308, but everyone needs a 30-06 rifle
-great hunting rifle
-has decent iron sights in my opinion
-way better looking IMO that a MKII
-great survival rifle
-has a CRF action

cons-
-more expensive to purchase
-more expensive to shoot

I need help deciding, very hard to deside between these two great rifles. The .22 would be used for target shooting and the '03 would be used for hunting and target shooting.

Thanks

1903A3 FIRST! There are lots of .22 caliber rifles out there and there will likely be more in the future. Can't make that statement about the 1903A3.

Bingo. You will be able to get a MKII FV for a while without concern of supply drying up or prices driving up drastically. I'm not sure I can say that about the 1903. The MK II is cheaper and cheaper to feed but if you are getting both long term I would go with the one that is getting harder and harder to find in good shape for a decent price.

I'd go with the M1903A3. Invest in a handpress, a set of dies, and a mould. You can get all three from Lee at bargain prices. I have two 03A3s and shoot a lot of cast bullets in them.

There will always be plenty of people making bolt action .22s in large quantities. The supply of 1903A3s is much more limited. Buy the 1903 now and then buy the .22 later.

Everyone's already said it but I'll say it as well. There will always be .22 rifles. There will not always be 1903's. It's been quite a while since I've seen one for sale, I can only imagine the prices are going up.

You must get the 1903. All the other fellows have said the same thing, but they won't be around forever. You can get the .22 later.
Keep in mind the -06 is an excellent deer rifle, and could be used as a home defense weapon, as well.
