Cool Targets

I got these molds to make ice sculptures for weddings etc.. They take about a gallon of water. Put some blue food coloring in and a piece of string and freeze it in the deep freeze. Hang it up and it makes a great reactive target with nothing to clean up. works great.
For precision shooting I like to glue a paintball to a golf tee and put it in the ground, works great

When my boys were younger we use to set empty or filled cans of soda/beer on & in front of logs, hang from branches, etc. Also did the flour in balloons, old balls, golf balls and old paint cans. We loved chasing soda cans down the range from the 25 yard mark to see how far you can push it before it was too beat up to shoot. Now we go to the range & we use cheap paper plates with a magic marker (+) cross, sight in on that point to judge accuracy then toss them in the recycle bin when we are done, unless there are some really great groups to brag about.

If you drill a small hole in a golf ball you can stick it onto a piece of straight heavy wire.
Stick the wire into the ground and you get a great bobbling target when you hit it. It will last a long time with .22's, and you don't have to chase it either.

If you put a few bends in the top of the wire you can mount tennis balls on them too.

Thanks for the links. Also the zombie paper targets are pretty cool.
And +1 on the dollar store decorations.

Water Bottles

I saw a lot of people mention water bottles, does anyone know if there is any risk of deflecting a bullet in an unfavorable direction - kind of like shooting at low angles over a pond or lake.
