100 days in Las Vegas...Sheriff has 120 days legally to issue the permit. Nevada is a state where the each weapon is listed on the permit. It took 14 days to add an additional weapon to the permit a few months later.

...Cost me 80 bucks. -- wrs840

This makes wonder about a second question. How much did you pay to get your permit. It cost me $152.50 ($100 for CBI and $52.50 for Arapahoe County). When I add the $200.00 that it cost me to take my NRA safety class, I can't help but think that this is a lot of money for me to shell out so I can experince a "Right."

Heavy

I forget the prices. I know it was $99 for the class and $100 for CBI, but I can't remember what the county charged.

Imagine if you were required to cough up that kind of dough to exercise your 1st Amendment rights or to plead the 5th, or to secure your right to unwarranted search and seizure.:barf:

Appointment to get printed was 30 days. After that it was 35 days in NC. Cost is $90 for five years. Class to get it ranges from $50 - $150. The guy who charges $150 will also serve as a professional material witness for free if you ever have to go to court.

25 for the app fee
15 for the prints
40 total not bad for GA. Love this state.

non res. Utah.. was about 5-6 weeks. $65
MI cpl 5-6 weeks from paperwork & prints to permit received. $105 (plus $120-150 local classes with proper certification)

I support UT for supporting us and being smart enough to take outside money (even outsiders)!

My very first PA license took about 10 days. Small county, over-worked Sheriff's office, but his clerk was very helpful. She told me how to fill it out and which boxes to check for my best benefit.

Renewals in York County are running same-day now, about 15 minutes if they aren't too busy. I am hearing new applicants in York County are getting similar service, too. Other counties are running about a week to several for new applicants.

Cost? I think it's $19.00, but honestly I don't remember and I don't feel like going through the checkbook to confirm. There is no training requirement in PA, and our license is very economical by PA statute.

Be patient. It'll come around before you know it.

9 Months and that was quick for New York......plus 4 letters
+ four interviews with letter writers
+ fingerprinting
+ judge approval
+ sheriff checking it out.

I gladly went through this as I stood ZERO chance of CC in either Maryland or Wash DC.

Just at 62 days all done. They told me in Arkansas for certain 120+ days due to the exodus from all the CCW classes. But right at half that time I'll be content.

I think next time I do this, it's going to be either a straight carry per the Consitution or not at all because of the time, expense and learning and vetting.

I think Ive been checked over by everyone from Federal all the way down to my Chief several times over this year, more than I ever did with high value loads and military depot runs in trucking.

The fees? Eh.. let's see.. A gift to 145 dollars to State Police, 20 for Fed, 20 for state, 85 for class, 25 for ammo for that class, 650-1000 for handgun plus the stuff required to "Run it", maintain it and feed it. (Oughta shouldve gotten me a big dog instead...)

Is it worth it? Eh. I think so when (Not if) that day comes I need it downtown.

Texas- 2 months and still counting. I was on the horn with them today. My application got delayed because they needed proof I was born overseas. The lady on the phone was nice and I'm gonna fax my Birth Cert tomorrow. I hope they can read German.

I am in Virginia where it is mandated that you recieve it in 45 days.........but I am dealing with an anti-gun judge so.......58 days and counting and still waiting. I am told by the county clerks office I will be lucky to have it in 60 days. They also do not honor the law and issue the temp application permit either. Must be nice to be above the law!!

I am waiting on mine here in Mi but its been taking friends of mine about 3 months to get .

I got mine

on the very last day they were allowed to give it to me. Right down to the last day. Minnesota

Most of the people I know have had to wait about 90 days. I had a duplicate made due to damage and it only took about 3 days for the turn around. I don't remember the renewal time. This is in Colorado.
