Any sweet deals?

I picked up a Marlin XL7 30-06 for $247 at Bi-Mart. That's $100 less than Bud's (after FFL fee). Nice! I've found Bi-Mart to have good prices on long guns. They were out of .22 ammo though.. lame.

What did you find?

No, and my state even was tax free on guns.

The only thing cooking on my burner right now is optics and ammo. I've got an Eotech on lawaway for my AR-15.
 
Black Friday, Black Gun

Took advantage of Smith & Wesson's 40% off for Active Duty and Retired Military today and ordered an M&P 15. May not get here until 2010 but its still Christmas for me.
 
my dealer diddnt have a black friday sale, he marked stuff down monday and the sale runs through the end of the month. But i did put a nice little pocket rocket in lay-away this week :D
 
Sportsman's Whse had a sale here in Chatt-town on a Ruger LCP .380 for $269.
There were only 25 to sell and there was a footrace at 6:00 AM from the front door to the gun counter with about a 60 man field. Sales guy there said they sold 50 guns in the first hour. I was not one of them.
 
nope, but i bought 32oz of lube, an extension tube for a benneli, and let a bunch of kids shoot my machine guns
 
Nope but I thought really hard about buying the Marlin 30-30 Dicks had on sale for $299 after rebate with a scope and all. I ended up deciding I just didn't need it.
 
I picked up a Beretta M9 for our son. It was $74 cheaper at Adventure Shooting Pro which is the nearest gun store to where we live than at Cabela's. I bought my Glock from them and introduced a few friends to their place before so when they saw us entered the door, the owner's son immediately said "Oh, here comes the Glock lady." I just smiled and asked him if they have a Beretta M9 and we were haggling with him when his dad came and told him to give it to us for $514, better than a military discount. They do not have a sale on guns but they do have a sale on gun safes. I also picked up two magazines (for free), was given two Glock pins and key chains and a team Glock logo. So all in all, it was a good day.

As it turns out, I completed a deal on Friday that I had started earlier in the week, so I guess that counts. I did try to buy some ammo for the gun, in advance of its arrival, but -- as usual -- there's no .380 ACP anywhere on the planet.
 
YES! SC had a tax free Holiday on guns Fri/Sat. I picked up an(other) AR-15. felt good to not pay tax. We don't get that chance very often in this hobby, so what better excuse to buy a new "shiny"?

Now the fun of accessorizing....:p
 
It IS nice to see ammo on shelves finally. At least for the most popular handgun calibers.

Reading some of your posts reminded me of a couple of reasons I like living in Oregon. For one thing, the gun laws are pretty good. (Shall issue state etc..) But also- no sales tax. One of only two states I think. Oh, they get you with property and income taxes... But, those don't directly inhibit shopping for guns and ammo when there's a good deal. :)

Private sale that was closed yesterday and delivered today. Its a remington model 700 ss dm in 30-06, 3-9 x 40 nikon scope with a CUSTOM TIGER MAPLE stock, extra composite stock hardcase sling. Does it count????
