I pray your grandson grows up knowing his father was a hero.
Sorry for your loss..... I am sorry for our loss. We have all lost another great American.
May your family be blessed for the sacrifice your son gave for all.

Sir,

My prayers are with you and your family. Your son has honored all of us with his sacrifice and so have you and your family. We are thankful that he gave so graciously to us, the gift of freedom and protection. We will never forget what he did and why. It is not in vain.

I pray, that when I die and go home to my Father in heaven, I may walk up to your son and thank him properly.

Please take comfort in this promise:

“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33 (NIV)

my deepest sympathy to your family

our prayers and strength be with you and yours

I have not the words to express the depths of my sympathy, nor the respect I have for your son and his comrades. Suffice it to say that you and yours will be in my prayers.

Sorry for your loss, DHart. No one ever wants to get that call. I'm not usually the dedicated prayer type but I'll definitely toss one up to the Big Man for you and your family.

Rest In Paradise, Elijah.

DHart, my sincere condolences to your family and his wife and child. I can't imagine how tough and painful your loss is. :(

I won't find the right words, so I'll just say that I'm terribly sorry and thank you for your sacrifice.

Thank you so much for sharing with this community the ability to honor your son and his great sacrifice. I am sure that no words I can write can ease your pain, but prayers and well wishes are on the way from me and my family. Please consider establishing a memorial fund for his grieving wife & child; I think you would find this to be a generous forum.

I am so sorry for your loss. Your son and his great sacrifice bring honor to us all.

May God be with you and your family---

Lance

prayers, condolences, and above all RESPECT from my family to yours.
i pray that y'all take some comfort and solice in the fact that we are PROUD of Elijah, as we know you are. and that he takes PRIDE in his choice to sign a blank check payable to us here at home. we don't take that lightly.

My deepest condolences to you and your family. Elijah was apparently an exceptional young man, and we all are grateful for his sacrifice in his service to our country.

You'll be in my prayers.

May God be with you and help you deal with this tragedy. There is nothing anyone can say or do to "make this better." Just know that there are many who have you and your family in our prayers and hearts. Thank you for having a son who loved you and his country enough to volunteer to serve his family and country. His loss does not go un-noticed or unappreciated.

That is one of the most profound posts my wife and I have ever read. It brought tears to both of us. My we forward our sympathy and sorrow for your families loss. May the Lord our God look over you during this difficult time. God Bless you and God Bless ourTroops.

The loss of a cousin in Afghanistan earlier this year brought the war much closer to home for me and my family. All the emotions I struggled with at that time want to rise to the surface each time I read of the loss of another of our nation's finest young men and women. God bless you Sir. Your loss, while noble, is painful just the same. May the knowledge that so many grateful Americans are praying for you and your family bring you some small measure of peace.

God Bless You!

Dawg
