Academy has Wolf (steel) 9mm for $7.99/50 this week.

American Eagle is Federal's budget brand ammo, and is very good quality.

There is another brand called "American" (Or Amerc) which is absolute crap - don't confuse the 2 brands.

FWIW, I bought some of the bad stuff a few years ago - the rim thickness on the .45 Colt ammo varied so much I had to pick through the whole box to find which ones would work in my SAA revolver. Some were so thick they would jam the cylinder.

They are not accurate and not reliable, at least not the stuff I had.

i work across the street from outdoor marksman's western wharehouse. i wonder if the deal is net only or if they have some in stock. i'll have to give them a visit and see if i can save some shipping.

Walmart has had the federal 9mm ammo in the red box for sale at $9.99 here since summer. It goes quick though. WWB 100rd boxes have been $20.99, when they have them.
