I don't post as often as in the past on THR because of the Moderators over zealous need to Lock Post and issue infractions. I took the suggestion of one moderator to not visit the THR. Many of my on line friends have switched to other more moderator friendly sites as I have.
 
THR used to be the only forum I would go to, but now I visit once a month or so. Threads get locked alot, and some of the members act like they are God and argue over everything. Also, if you have a low post count because you don't feel the need to give an opinion on everything, whatever you do say or ask about usually gets ignored.

There is a lot of good to be said for THR,

And I hope you all, we all, continue for a good long time.

My other mainline is CZ, but, what can I say,

I do love my CZ's.

It used to be my favorite, started reloading pistol ammunition thanks to some great advice from this site, but it's moved down to number 3, behind two other hunting forums. Too many people here know more than everybody else, or they think their way of doing stuff is the only right way and won't hesitate to tell you about it. Also way too many pansies in the hunting forum, I can't even post pictures of legal game I've taken without people calling me unethical and seriously barking orders about how and what I should hunt. Lame, I'm mostly a hunter, so the other hunting forums I visit have moved up on the list. In all honesty, THR is probably tied for #2.
The reloading forum is the best I've seen. There are a lot of people who think everybody is going to blow themselves up no matter what, but there are a few (rcmodel, walkalong, there are more) that know their stuff and really help a lot of people out. If I have a reloading question, I post it here.

Not gun related, it will be shut down in 5 min....
Oh, almost forgot, there is way too much complaining about the mods. Why even bother posting about how long until a post gets shut down. Let the mods deal with that. If you want to be a moderator, start your own website, but don't pretend to be one here.
 
I'm obviously new but I have been reading past posts on this forum for a while. It has a lot of great info but I do feel like some of the posts get locked WAY too easy. Point Proven in 10. 9. 8. 7. 6. 5. 4. 3. 2. 1.....
 
it's my favorite recently discovered site, mainly because it gives me an insite on how much i miss out on, not living in the USA.

Havent been a member here a year yet and I have seen the ones with the high post counts doing this, that and usimg it as an instant message board.

It's my most frequented, but I tend to ask questions elsewhere due to the responses that I and a lot of others have received as of late. Seniority and toy chest size seem to be major factors in acceptance here.

Lots of good info here though.
 
I visit several times a day. If I see something I like, I get involved. Like a lot of forums, this one included, there is some really good information to be garnered.
For me, interaction with a poster who states his/her case well, makes for an interesting post. Exchanging ideas/opinions is what keeps folks coming back ,IMO.

As for it being my favorite ? I like-um all till the ever present "jerk" shows
up. :)
 
It may not be my *FAVORITE* but it is my constant friend. :)

I've tapered off quite a bit since the legal battle. Just feel like a different site. Same with .us, I've been there a time or two, just has a different vibe.

I'm in a mood where I dont care too much for the web, as far as socializing. I'll skim through here and various other sites while I wind down after work. Often while googling stuff, gun and car tech mostly.

Met a lot of good friends here.

Learned a lot. Taught a little.

Have no problem with the style of moderation.

Best site on the web. Am I making myself perfectly clear?
