rr - how well have you been able to hit a target at 10 mph. Seriously, if a biker was shooting at me while I was in my cage... the biker would die. That cage can be used as a ram... no so much on a bike. Your bike is a 200 cc.... you aren't outrunning anything, so you are at a disadvantage. Point blank, yes... I have been run off the road on my bike. I have been forced off the road in my car. Neither time is it safe to pull a gun and start shooting.

rrb - you misunderstand where we are coming from. I own and ride a bike. Yes a car purposefully pushing you off the road is aggravated assault. What it isn't is a time when you will be able to control your bike one handed, let alone aim a shot. We are responsible for every round we send down range. You, regardless of how well you shoot, cannot do that when being bumped while on the back of a bike at road speeds. Know your target and what is beyond. We aren't trying to discourage you from defending yourself, we are trying to keep you from doing an unintentional drive by one someone else. If you really feel the need to escalate the issue, remember that with one quick jerk of the wheel, you are now trying to catch a 3k lb car made of plastic, steel, and rubber while balanced, with the help of gyroscopic forces, on a vehicle that weighs about 1/10 of what that car weighs. Add to that the vulnerability of your legs, and you very well could die by shooting at that person. I would recommend that you either get a quicker bike, say a 600 sport bike and move out or start driving a cage. A 2k beater will keep you from getting ran off the road, from getting into a shootout, and might possibly save your life.

From a legal standpoint, once the assault ends, so does your right to defend yourself.

You get run off the road riding a little 200cc cycle; Is your name Forrest? If you think that is bad, you ought to try a regular bicycle and see how much fun it can be at times. Be careful about using firearms. You may well find yourself on the wrong side of the law. Guns are a great equalizer, but be very cautious about using a gun for self defense.

I would continue calling the police if you have problems. Tis not right...
