Do these need to be loaded for lead data or are they a regular jacketed bullet. I was thinking of getting some for my Desert Eagle 44 but the eagle needs hot loads to cycle properly.

Good bullets and good people.

I have found in 9mm that the same weight/type bullet using MG, needs .2 grains more powder to match a copper jacketed bullet.
I'm loading light--128-130pf.

I found this same comment on another forum yesterday.

MAJOR +1 with respect to Montana Gold quality and service.

I ordered a case of 125-grain JHP's for my .357 Magnum on Monday evening during this last Christmas week. At noon on Saturday, they were at my doorstep!

They will definitely be receiving my business again should I buy more bullets.

Really nice bullets at a great price; I use them for 9mm and 45acp. I also like the way they look, whatever that means.

MG's are more expensive than Zero or Precision Delta.
But they ship them to you in a matter of hours.
Zero and Precision Delta however can take months to get.
In fact, I have a pending order with Roze Dist. thats 3 months old.

Typical copper jackets are actually a gilding metal alloy: 95% copper 5% zinc. Technically, this is a brass alloy. We just call it copper jacketed. This covers the vast majority of modern jacketed bullets.

Many gold colored bullets are golden because they contain more zinc in the alloy. One of you would have to call MG to find out their exact zinc content.

Other bullets are golden or nearly white because they are actually a cupronickel alloy: 75% copper, the rest nickel with some manganese and/or iron for additional strength.

.

I have a 125 JHP order since early last Oct. I've been told they are back into production now and should come soon. It's not that I don't trust them :uhoh:, but I just ordered and re'cvd 2k MGs hoping that will be enough 'til the Zeros come.

Put those fmj MGs in a nickle case and feel like the Lone Ranger on steroids. They sure are pretty.
