I need body armor

Hello, I am looking for body armor vest for a friends husband. He is a repo man for a rental store and has been shot at numerous times. This makes her extremely worried and she asked me to look into a vest for him. They're looking for a concealable vest of either class II or III-A. None of us really have any idea where to begin. What are good brands that are cost effective. please keep in mind he works for a rental store and she works at JC Penney. Thanks for your help.

alot of LE dealers will have "used" "expired" armor for sale(in the $100-200 range), we only sell to LE/SEC but we have 100's of them. So check around for your local LE dealer(where the cops shop, not a uniform shop)
