Looking for ideas for storing brass neatly

The oxygen issue has been raised above, but I think it is VERY important for the longevity of brass. I used to think that Gamma Seals were expensive until I factored in the cost of 20mm cans! Brass goes in:
30 cal cans or
50 cal cans or
6 gal buckets with Gamma seals.

For the price of 3 20mm cans, I can buy about a dozen gamma seals.

Eventually shelves out of 2x4's or pallet racking will hold the ammo cans/buckets.

Good Luck!

My lunch usually evolves around a sandwich made with the meats that come in those Glad plastic containers (Hillshire Farms, Foster Farms, etc.), large and small. While they are great for storing leftovers in the fridge, I use them to store brass and bullets. They are fairly sturdy, free, and if treated with some care, will last almost indefinitely.

I use a wide legal 4 drawer file cabinet and the plastic shoe boxes to store my unloaded brass.

I bought the same kind of wire shelves at Lowe's, I added a Sixth shelf to mine.

Good Idea CVO. I can buy some extra shelves and move every shelf down to where it just fits the boxes to get more storage boxes in there.

I will run out to my lowes and see if they got any.

I now need to work on my shotshell organization too.

I wish hulls did not take up soo much space.

Selling the house, to buy a farm.
Just showed the house a few minutes ago and received no reaction from the potential buyers, I do notice you can see a lot more brass in these clear containers than previously.

I might need to make a bread rack cover to keep from freaking out the Democrats.

Kinda like this but less translucent.

Might head to the fabric store to get some big sheets of nylon or head to walmart for some solid color bed sheets. Dunno, what do you think?

I use empty coffee cans for brass, loaded shells, or primed and sized only. Label the side with a sharpie for different calibers and number of times re-loaded.

I dont have this problem. Not enough brass... :banghead::banghead:

You will all laugh but for smaller scale storage I use Baby wipe containers. Holds about 300+ 9mm brass. I also use those little cottenelle wipe containers for bullets. Holds about 500 124 grain bullets.

Like I said on the small side but I just started loading last week.

I also use the clear/transparent kitty litter jugs for storing brass.

I generally have 2 for each of the main calibers I shoot. One for dirty/unprocessed brass and the other for clean/processed brass. They are cheap, pretty sturdy, easy to get brass in and out of and a side benefit it that a few good shakes helps get stubborn media out of freshly tumbled cases. Since I batch load and hand-prime I generally put cleaned&primed cases in one along with couple of dessicant packs until I can reload.

Baby wipe contaners are geat for tool's, I, always have a couple laying around becuse I use them on the truck, to give a quick wipe down if it will be a few hour's before I, can get to the truck stop. They also work good for recites, and give's them a fresh smell for when you are at the accountent doing stinck work.
