The second picture says it all. Very cool Dad!

My daughter started with a Bearcat and a Chipmunk rifle at the age of 8. I still remember the look on her face when she first hit her target. 12 years ago.

Too cool! Way to go dad! My daughter started at 5 and got her first deer with a flintlock at 8. She just qualified as a distnguished expert with a handgun at 13. Your daughter looks like she's ready for a lifetime of enjoyment.

Thank you all, I am a lucky man. She started out years ago on a Savage Cub and shoots that very well. It should be a good weekend. Two unopened bricks should be some fun for all.

Nice job Dad! I don't think you could have picked a better revolver.
I just traded for one a couple of months ago, what a fun shooter it is.

MJ,

My daughter (16) walked by the computer and saw your girl with the gun and the grin. Her response was "AWWWWWWWWWWWW she is sooo cute"

Then "she has a good daddy"

How old is she if you don't mind my asking? I've got a seven year old boy and have been thinking about getting him a bearcat. I'm wondering whether it will fit his hands or not. Thanks very much!

That's awesome. It also brings back some fond memories. My first pistol was a Bearcat; I still have it and still take it to the range. It's also the first pistol that my wife used after we were married, and it's also the first pistol that our son and daughter used when they were growing up. Gotta love the Bearcat. I can't think of a better handgun for a first-time shooting experience.

The Bearcat does have a way of endearing itself with the children.

I sorry, I have not been here lately. She just turned ten. Tonight after dinner we will be bring it out. I have great kids.

I don't know what makes you a cooler dad--the fact that you have a Ruger Bearcat for shooting or a half pipe for skating! Wish I had both when I was a kid!

My oldest son just does not like to hunt (loves to fish!). My middle son and daughter really like it. My oldest son likes to skateboard a lot. That is the reason for the quarter pipe and mini park. I like to keep my kids and their friends close. My kids are 10,11,&12. My two older boys were shooting the SRH 180g cast WC 5gr of Titegroup last night. We do shoot most nights when weather is good.

LOL!

The first thing I thought when I recognized the quarter pipe was, "Hey, that's a great idea for policing up your brass! The empties land on the pipe and roll down into a neat pile." :)

That's an awesome picture, and you are a great father. My little girl is too young yet (4) to shoot, but she loves to help me with certain chores at the reloading bench. She can do an excellent job cleaning cases!
