I use XP pro SP3, Network Assoc Vscan 8.7 enterprise set to highest level. Unless a new spyware/virus came out in the past 10 min, the .exe file is about as clean as it can be.
Thanks for the link. it took less than 5 min. to download and a about a minute to load the access db. I opened access and just scanned the first couple of pages. I'll look at closer when I start my reloading season.

I can only add to the appreciation of how much work went into this program.

I have used this for several years, and in several versions, and as always when I open it I am simply amazed at how much work Wiljen put into it.

I know I have mentioned it in the past, but again thanks for the effort and hard work. again

Major Work

I can only add my small voice to the chorus of praise for the truly Herculean efforts of Wiljen - this is indeed a major work. The download was easy, if a bit lengthy (but relatively brief, considering the quantity of data), installation a simple click, and function flawless thus far.

Kudos!

Blown6L, all the functions I have tried work well, including the cartridge by bullet wt. I am running Access 2003 and expected problems, but none have arisen...

I am having trouble getting the reloaders reference to start and run. I have tried everything that the developer said to do. Would like as much help getting the program to run on vistia.

Did you read this:

I have recieved some messages from users having trouble running this package on Vista. Vista's default security settings will not allow users to change files in the \program files path. This is what creates the problems. 1 be patient with the install, it is slow, but will complete even on vista. 2. follow the instructions below to change the permissions on the Reloaders Reference folder
to allow user writes to the files.

1.) Open c:\program files and right click the Reloaders Reference folder.
Note: on x64 systems this will be the Program Files (x86) folder.
2.) Choose properties from the drop down menu.
3.) On the properties tab, choose security.
4.) On the security tab, click the advanced button at the bottom of the tab.
5.) In the advanced tab, click users in the list, then edit.
6.) In the permissions dialog, click the Allow box on the top line (Full Control) then click ok.
7.) When it returns to the Advanced tab, check the replace all existing box at the bottom of the tab and click ok.
8.) Click ok again to return to the security screen.
9.) Click users in the top window and look at the permissions in the bottom portion, full control should now be checked.
10.) Click ok to close the security dialog.

RR should now run without the read-only or linking problems.

You have to do it EXACTLY the way it is posted no shortcuts.

tried but still not working had it working for a little while when i first downloaded it last week but now cant get anything to work

Potential security concern

Hey all. I am getting a pop-up when I want to start the program that says:

A potential security concern has been identified.

Warning: It is not possible to determine that this content came from a trustworthy source. ...

It then gives the option to proceed or cancel the operation.

I did not see anyone else with this problem. Could sourceforge have been compromised, or is it more likely a setting in my computer?

This program downloaded without a hitch, and I am really looking forward to using it. I don't have MS Access, though I do have the Open Office db. I chose the "I don't have Access" option when installing. Using Vista:banghead: unfortunately.

When I initially installed it I would get "Security Warning Certain Content in this Database has been disabled". there was a options button that gave the option to allow it the content. I went into Access's setting and changed the security settings in is under Access Options/Trust Center/Trust Center Settings/Trusted Locations. You need to add the location to the trusted locations. I know you Open Office but it probably a similar setting.

if you do not have Access installed and installed the Access runtime with RR, windows security settings consider an mdb file a potential security threat. This is because viruses can be written with this file format. It doesn't mean the program is infected, it simply means there's a potential security risk if you don't know the source of the file.

I get the warning and have had no issue with running the program. My virus scanner would have caught it if it was truly an infected file.

Is this program still being worked on? I went to his site and saw some posts in the forum, but don't know for sure. Thought someone might know him or heard somewhere else.

Thanks.

I use this as a cross-reference for other published loads...

Has some bugs on my XP system, but the data has been valuable to me...

As with any other reference, cross-check all loads, and work up slowly...

It would be nice if this could run using OpenOffice as well as MSWord and Access. I can't justify buying MSOffice when an open source version like OpenOffice works just as well for most things.

I'd rather pay for this program than send any more of my hard earned cash to Microsoft...:cuss:

Installed without problem on Win7.

Looking through the load data I found it only shows one powder charge. Is this the min, max or recommended?

I'm pretty sure I have this running on an XP system with Openoffice. I'll check tomorrow.

I don't have the program, but some reloading manuals do the same. That's the "MAX" load. Subtract 10% for your starting load. Be sure to compare this data with other published data for a sanity check.
