Washington State Shoot and Hoot (outside e'burg)

I'm seriously considering this- My fiance is doing wedding recon in chicago the 11th to the 14th.

How do you all take to new guys? New to this event/new to shooting. I've only been shooting (2 handguns) for about 2 years now.
 
The initiation process isn't too bad except for the gauntlet, it gets most young guys.

On a serious note, check out the other posts and we would love to have you no matter your age gender or shooting prowess. Safety first, then fun.

Gee, John, you respond to my post and then forget that I'm gonna make it to The Gathering for yet another year. Would be nice to see some new faces, too. Firewalk, anyone? (Where's BusySquirrel been, anyway?)
 
Ellensburg is only about 2 hours away from Belfair. Sounds interesting. Tell me more about the shoot? Thanks.

I am really looking forward to meeting all these washington folks... any recommendations on how much ammo to bring.... estimates on other supplies?

Ammo, Food, etc....

This is a community get together so everyone shares. We set a menu and everyone volunteers to bring something.

Ammo, everyone is really good about sharing weapons. If you don't own a .223, .45, .38, .44, .22, 30/30, 9mm, etc.. and want to shoot one it is always great to have some ammo to donate. It is more important on the exotic or high volume weapons. We all bring plenty of ammo for our own guns and can only shoot one or two at a time and there is only so much daylight.

I can gaurantee all of the above calibers will be there based on years past.

Sounds like a good time. I would love to attend if I was back in WA, but I'm currently working OCONUS.

Some one ought to bring .357 mag to this party :rolleyes:

I'd like to fill that niche if I can get a box or two by then.
 
As far as I know, there is no map in existence to the place because the roads for part of the trip are too "rural".

Polish can give you directions, but the place is probably around 20-40 minutes from Ellensburg. (I'm not sure on that as I always come from the other direction.)
 
Ok I got the directions. What kind of food to bring? The only thing I do not have room for is fire wood. My car is to small. I will bring 5 gallons of H20 and food suply ammo ETC.
