Really all that is necessary for a good cleaning is to disassemble the bolt and clean the action, chamber, and bore. Anything more, such as removing the action from the stock will disturb your bedding and adversely affect accuracy, maybe even shift your point of aim.
As stated though, the normal field stripping is all an owner really should need to do. Unless something gets broken anyway. Stripping it beyond that will be more likely to do harm than good.
