The thing is that letters are actually noted while online petitions carry no legitemacy whatsoever and no government organisation would touch one with a bargepole. Might have some statistical interest though if not to many people multiple sign.

And yes, our legislators are a bunch of clowns. All the gun laws and Newark/Camden are some of the most dangerous places in the country.
