Anyone pick up a new 19 or 23? Did they change the recoil spring or leave it alone? Also curious about any other model changes, Glock website is no help. Even Glock talk guys don't have a clue. Anyone here?

Some have. I believe that you should start seeing the 19/23 series around summer. According to some people on AR15.com. I have not heard anything so your guess is as good as mine. But summer sounds right as the 17/22 models just started showing up en masse.

As far as recoil spring, I believe it has been changed universally for all models. I would check the AR15,coms' Glock Section as well as Glocktalk. I do believe that there might be a few threads on Sigforum as well.

As far as the

bamawrx handled a gen 4 G17 and liked it a lot. bamawrx is not a glock guy, but he does have a few. Gen 4 is very nice. Slimmer grip, better feel, much better checkering, and the recoil spring assembly is very interesting. If the G19 was out bamawrx would have purchased one. Gen 4 with a green frame, oh yeah.

I wonder if they modified the frame and slide on the Gen4 G19/23 for the original (Gen3) recoil spring and guide rod, or if they just put a regular spring in a larger guide rod to fit the Gen4 wide dust cover and larger guide rod recess in the nose of the slide.

If they modified the frame and slide to the Gen3 specs, then they should be able to interchange with the Gen3's, unless something else was changed.

I had a Gen4 G17 and it was nice. It would shoot everything I put in it, even the weak stuff.

Here is my comparison on Glock Talk

A Gen 4 is in my future. I looked at them at today's gun show ($500 for a 22 with three 15 round mags), but ended up buying a Taurus PT-1911 in 38 Super as there was only one at this show (same price), while the Glocks were common and getting more common.

The one I looked at had the medium backstrap in it, and it felt way better in my hand than even my 20SF, I suspect the small backstrap may have me finally liking a Glock!

Have the guide rod issues been solved? and if so how do you tell if you will be buying a gun without the problems -- this was another factor in getting the PT-1911 today instead, which by the way , had a shockingly good trigger!

I'd like to buy the 22 but swap the frame to use with my 17L unless I decide to carry it (not likely) is this possible?
