I started bending Kydex a few months ago and have transitioned from sheaths to holsters.

Here are some pics of the rig being worn and a couple of reviews. http://kahrtalk.com/holsters-gear/2176-leather-kydex-hybrid-holster-pm9-p380.html

For smaller guns I use 4oz. leather and .060 kydex. I carry a PM9 daily in one of these rigs and it conceals well under a t-shirt. It is discreet, secure, comfortable and smooth to draw.

I have a minimalist attitude. If it isn't needed it isn't there.

I make my own j-hooks and they work like a charm.

I've made them for everything from a Sig P238 to a Beretta 92!

I welcome your comments and questions.

Thanks,

Rick

Those look pretty good, are you interested in making them just for you or are you aspiring to some entrepreneurship?

I've made them for everything from a Sig P238 to a Beretta 92!
Got a CZ52 to mold one to? I can't find a major shop that has a mold and for some reason I've been wanting a holster for that gun.

I've been selling them...

to support my hobby. I am currently limited to the guns I have on hand or can borrow locally.

Right now I can do these guns readily

Glock 9mm
1911
Beretta 92
Smith J
Kahr 9mm
Kahr 380
Kahr 45 (starting next week)
Colt Pony
Seecamp

I can borrow these guns and it could take a little more time.

Sig P238
Diamond Back .380
Ruger LCP

I can do a basic non adjustable for the little guys for about $30 shipped. This is with a thin leather. Very thin and concealable. The lip of the kydex will be right at the waistband.

For the bigger pistols Glock, 1911, Beretta, and possibly the Kahr P45 will use heavier leather. They will go for $40 shipped.

Both of these rigs use a j-hook that I make out of kydex. The only other option I have right now is a metal over the belt clip.

I'll be working on mag pouches that will carry in a similar fashion as well. If you buy a holster I will add a single IWB mag pouch for $10 to the same order.

As best I am able I will work with someone to customize the rig. I

Thanks for asking,

Rick

rnpollard, long shot here, but where are you located?

Plus a bump for good craftsmanship, this deserves a spot at the top of the forum.

I live near Fort Benning, GA

and I will be traveling to central Virginia next month. If you are close to either area maybe we can work something out.

Additionally I will check around to see if I can find a CZ around here.

Please email me the specifics on your gun. Model and if there are any other models that might work.

I'll do what I can to help you out.

I'm in northwest Ohio for now, if you find a CZ52 to mold to, I'd be delighted to be your beta tester. They're not that uncommon, Czech duty pistol chambered in 7.62x25mm (the Tokarev round, the gun is NOT a Tok clone though) they hit the market as surplus a few years back, but I've yet to find anyone making a Kydex holster for one, just a bunch of people who stuff it into a soft holster and call it "good enough". (it might be good enough, but dammit, I like a properly molded shell for a handgun)

Here's a picture:

Here's a write-up on the pistol itself from the Box O Truth
