Must confess, Part I, that I would have loved to have purchased that pistol.

Must confess, Part II, that I would have been hard-pressed to pay upwards of $24k for the privilege of owning it, even if I could afford it.

Must confess, Part III, that I never, ever would have sold off dad's premier Savage, even for $24k, unless I truly was desperate for the cash. I can only hope that was the case.
 
If you like that style of pistol the .32 version is not uncommon and many were made. Mine is a 1917, IIRC, and is in 95% original condition (conservatively). It's a beautifully made gun. I paid the princely sum of $175 for it. Like my Astra 3000, another fine old .32, it is a keeper.
