Sound off if you carry a Glock

Never a bad choice

The Glock 19 is one of the top choices for a carry gun. In terms of overall size vs. ammunition capacity (in its standard magazines), it is the most size-efficient handgun on the market right now.

I carry a pf9 when I wear more form fitting clothes. However if its night time ;or I am going to a worse area I wear my Glock 26.

30 right here. I want more though, just can't afford more than one cup of koolaid.

20SF in a Alessi Talon holster.
A friend just picked up a 26 and I may follow suite, fantastic little gun and shoots super nice. It really surprised me that a subcompact could be that fun/comfortable to shoot, the only bad thing is now I really want to try a 19 (and a 23 and 27 :D )

I love glocks.
Of the two choices you mentioned the 23 will be the easier to conceal carry, it's thinner.
Since you don't want a sub-compact the best choice for carry is IMO either the 23 (40) or 19 (9mm).
Why do I like them?
Reliability, they always work for me, and simplicity.

Glock 17 in a Comp Tac holster.

Have carried a Kimber Pro Carry, Glock 33, Glock 23 and have settled on the Glock 17. I have used good holsters and belts and they carried well. I shoot full sized guns better and as such, prefer to carry full sized guns.

glock 22 a lot of the time and a 27 the rest of the time.

i plan on getting the 23 soon because it seems like the best overall size.

get a good holster like a crossbreed supertuck and even the full size 22 disappears under no more than a t-shirt.

I bought a g19 specifically for ccw. I carry it on days that I know I will be crawling around on the ground under a car, days I know I'll get muddy or dirty, days I may be near the water or salt water or other days when I need a good "beater." It fits that role well and I love it.

But I like my 1911 carry piece better and I carry it more often (Kimber Pro CDP II). It's thinner and more comfortable. There isn't that much weight difference when both are fully loaded. I'm glad I bought the glock, but it isn't my favorite. If I could only have one, it would be the Kimber.

Both disappear nicely under a t shirt or polo when carried iwb, but the 1911's thinness disappears better on my slim frame.

I own and carry two (not at the same time-LOL) and they happen to be a 21SF and a 23...I like the 23 for daily carry (more comfy) but when I'm going into the woods or travelling somewhere very iffy or with a LOT of cash I tend to grab the 21....especially in fall or winter when it hides easier...I have a crossbreed supertuck that hides it surprisingly well in the hot months though....still....can't beat a 19/23 for comfy everyday carry...and they still feel like a real gun when you shoot em (my hands are too big for a 26/27) ...if you add the grip extention I'd need -it's pretty well a short barrel 23 anyway...so I just went with that. I've owned many 19/23's over the years...I end up back there a lot...though I've carried the full sized as well. A 19/23 is REALLY hard to beat in a decent strongside leather pancake holster for comfort. (I like the bianchi 82 carrylok or Galco Concealment holster a lot...plenty of others out there though)

I had a G22, but it was just too darn big to carry concealed.
Yes, it can be done if you dress around it enough, but it really was never designed to be carried in such a manner.

I then bought a G27....

It is the best concealed carry pistol that I have ever used.

It is small enough and light-weight enough to carry all day, every day.

It shoots a very respectable self-defense caliber, yet it is still easy to control and make quick follow-up shots.

It is a breeze to field-strip or detail-strip, and parts are easy to obtain and replace.

It's extremely reliable and plenty accurate too.

And it offers the options of 9+1 rounds with a standard G27 magazine, 10+1 rounds with a Pearce extension or a Glock extended magazine, 13+1 rounds with a G23 magazine, or 15+1 rounds with a G22 magazine.

I like the Pearce extension quite a bit....

I like my G23 too, but even though they are close in size (especially if the G27 has an extended magazine inserted) the G27 is still quite a bit easier to carry concealed, even with the extended magazine.

I carry a 27, 23 or 30SF/36 hybrid. I have them all so any one of them is an option but those three get the most time if I don't have to carry a Kahr or choose to carry a M+P 45c or 40c instead. Options are great.

Carry a Glock 30. I really like the feel. I'm a big guy so the bulkiness doesn't bother me. The biggest reason i carry one is because i like the cost, reliability, and simplicity. Good luck.

What are you trying to create the longest running thread? ;)

I used to carry only glocks before I found out that single stack guns are SO much more comfortable to carry IWB. Glock doesn't make a single stack that is actually slim (-1 inch). Therefore I only carry a glock if I feel I need/want the extra fire power for that day. It usually ends up being the glock 19. But I also carry the g26 and even the g17 occasionally. When I carry them they are almost always OWB in a belt slide holster.

I really wish they would make a truly slim version of the g26 and g19 I would buy them in a heartbeat.

I've carried a Glock22 ,S&W M&P 9mm, a Kimber 1911 and a 5 shot 357 Taurus 605. Out of all these ,I've settled on the 26, because of the size and ease of concealment , also with a 19 mag and spacer ,for 15 rounds. Can still be easily carried IWB as EDC.

My G17's never more than 2ft away from me....ever. I'm going to be getting the G21 and I'm pretty sure its going to be my new 'all day every day' gun. If there was no such thing as a G21, I would never even consider replacing my G17. IMO, the only thing better than a full size Glock 9mm with seventeen rounds would be a full size Glock .45 with thirteen rounds, and even then its pretty close, AFAIC, its either a 9mm or a .45, none of this .40 business. In the event that there was no such thing as a Glock, I would carry my box stock 1911, or my Taurus ultra-lite .38spl, but IMO, there's nothing I'd rather have on my waist than an ugly, clunkin, hunk of a Glock

I have two glock 23's. The first one is to run hard and beat the crap out of in training and classes. The second one only takes a light pounding and gets carried 365 days a year.

Of the choices in the OP, I would go with a G23 or better yet a G27/26 for carry. The G21 is a beast to conceal on a daily basis. I do sometimes conceal my G20 (same size as the G21), but it requires heavier clothing to really cover it. With the exception of a few rabid Glock haters, most owners (myself included) are very satisfied with them.
