This is an edit. I just could not leave this alone. I moved here from Vermont in May 2009. I lived all of my adult life in Vermont - you know, liberal Vermont? - where there are virtually NO restrictions. Carry open, carry concealed. All kinds of trouble? mmmmm. . . no.
Then I move to Florida and actually HAVE TO GET A FREEKIN' PERMIT! Of course, I have.
Shooters, these people who create the problem are SINCERE! Completely sincere, and completely ignorant of guns. They are not stupid people . . . but they don't know any better. As of now, for those knocking NRA - STOP IT! They are the best hope, because they not only understand guns - they understand people and politics. Results have been forthcoming. The process will take time. Stay with it, and work with the professionals at NRA.
