Winchester Model 1894 30-30, it's been with me forever, it handles all the basic chores I need a rifle for doing, and it does them well. If we are picking sidearms also, then my Ruger .357 magnum Blackhawk would be on the list for the same reasons as the Winchester.

My most prized gun is not my favorite gun. It is my late husband's S&W 10-5 snubby. Nothing fancy. It was his off-duty carry gun back when he was an LEO.

(My favorite is my hd gun: a 19-3 that I bought).

An 1958 Remington Navy pistol that my father bought for $15, years and years and years ago. It's in cherry condition.

My most prized gun would be one that I used to own but ended up selling or trading for something else. Then, later, kicked myself for getting rid of it.

It would have to be the new Freedom Arms 10" 454 Casull that I owned back in the late 80's which had T'SOB mounts and three rings with a Leupold silver scope to match (I kind of remember the scope being a straight 4 power, EER).

I had loads worked up for that gun that would shoot better than many rifles off a bench. About a 1.75" group at 100 yards.

In my case.. it is my Winchester Model 120 Youth 20ga. It is about as plain and utilitarian as a pump shotgun can be, but it was the first gun that was mine. My Dad bought it for me in 1986 when I was 12 and I still use it for upland game with an adult stock and a longer barrel. It will get returned to its youth config when I have kids so it can be handed down.

There is this 1911 in the family that saw service in WW1, WW2, and Korea. It has a certain amount character and wear. It is passed from one family member to another. In addition to the previously mentioned wars it went to Vietnam with a young Marine and then went again with his cousin an Army Warrant Officer. It’s traveled other places also but now its home.

My 1953 Belgium Browning 16ga A-5. Was my grandfathers and what I learned to hunt and shoot on. He used it for everything from rabbits to ducks to deer. I still take it out for a round of wobble trap or a walk in the woods when I am feeling nostalgic and need to connect with my past.

I prize this one the most because it was given to me by my wife who was raised in an anti-gun household.

I've got a lot of firearms, but I would have to say my old Remington 870. It has put all kinds of meat on the table from birds to venison. Taught my three sons to hunt, and stands ready with 8 rounds of #4 buck for things that go Bump in the night.

My most prized would be my 1886 Winchester with smooth bore that was shipped to the 101 Wild West Show. Took it as payment for $135 rent payment. Took it to the gunsmith for a good cleaning and found out about the smooth bore. Smith said that was "odd." Wrote Winchester and the letter came back about shipped to 101.

My Grandfathers Commercial nickel plated 1911 .45acp Colt
(That's 1911-not 1911 A1) with the most beautiful pair of Sambar Stag grips you ever want to see. He used it several times to defend the family. One time resulted in the death of two bandits. I'm now 70 and it will be passed down in the family as we are a family of gun lovers. Shooters-hunters-outdoor people all!

Damn... i have a lot of "Prized" guns...

I would say either my Model 12-2 that my father purchased when he became a legal US citizen brand new

My STI Trojan 6.0 9mm. There really isn't a better shooting gun i have ever encountered and i have owned and shot a TON of stuff... This gun will never leave me

My HK P7M8 is also very close to me. Its a beautiful gun that is just different and always turns heads. its a strong contender for my favorite

Last would be my fusion T-Comm 1911. It is a remarkable pistol. I own Wilsons, browns, Nighthawks, Dan Wessons, STI's... and i think its my "Nicest" pistol...

fase3, I'd LOVE to see a pic of that gun, if you can post one. 1911 Colt, nickel plated, with Sambar Stag. Wow!

It's a toss between the ones my father gave me & the one I inherited from my grandfather
