South Carolina Moves To Block Gun Registration

What happens if you do travel over the state line with one of those guns?

It depends on which direction you drive, and if you're licensed to carry. Reciprocity laws of the state you'd be visiting come into play. Registration plays no part.

I'm not aware of any SC locale that requires "registration" (doesn't mean they aren't out there, but I've never heard it as a gripe from anyone)... I'd be a lot more impressed if they could cut down on the prohibited places for CC (restaurants and places that charge admission, namely... followed closely by schools, especially university grounds)

Looks like this bill died? SC's bill was unique in that Montana and Tennessee's bills had caveats SC's bill does not, correct?

Just curious how things are around the country right now on these bills.

^I'm shocked and amazed. ;) Is California even fighting forced insurance though?

Thirty plus years ago I was questioned by SC SLED as part of a murder investigation. They tracked me down via an ammo purchase. Don't know if it's still the case, but at that time you were required to present ID and the clerk logged the sale.

I was cleared.

There's no registration required in SC. If you want to CC in Ga you have to have an out of state permit. I carry SC and NH permits.

South Carolina has a long way to go. There still is no open carry and if a police officer or another citizen reports that they can see your "concealed weapon" you can be cited for it. That is BS!

This is one step in the right direction... keep going.

I know what your saying but I would carry like I am right now. I don't like showing my gun to anyone.
