Why is it so hard to find 3" Ruger GP100

I bought one about six weeks ago online ... it's a GREAT revolver. I just need to figure out what I'm going to do with the front sight since my 180gr RNFP (H110) loads are grouping about 6" high at 15 yards ... very nicely centered, just high. There's a 3" SP101 for sale at the same place I bought the 3" GP100 ... not sure if I really want it though.

I stumbled across my Blue gp100 at a pawn shop. I think I paid about $280. Guess I got lucky. Looks like impact has them in stock as seen above. Swoop one up!

Interesting! I just picked up this 3" GP100 in trade for my Marlin 1895 .45/70. I had no idea that it was difficult to acquire. I actually had conversations with two different individuals who both were offering a 3" GP100.

THANK YOU goodtime for finding this. I had been looking there just a day ago and showing that they were backordered. Talk about perfect timing. Now I will have to use my new found patience waiting for it to arrive. :)

A little longer

So thinking that it was divine intervention or just incredible luck, I jumped on the impact guns deal as quick as I could.

After not getting a delivery confirmation for 4 days I gave them a ring to see if there was a hold up with my FFL. Come to find out there was a mistake on their supplier's website and they actually did not have any in stock. :(

I'm now on a 4-6 week wait. I'm glad to at least be on someones list instead of hunting cyber space every evening.

I tried to get some info as to if the CS rep knew why they were such a limited supply pistol and they didn't have any idea.

I have a brand new in the box never fired with the plastic bag and plastic cylinder shield and everything else that comes with it lock, fired casing. I am thinking of selling it PM me if interested.
