Hi all,

I just aquired a T/C Hawken kit gun that was mostly assembled, from a friend of mine who got it from a garage sale in its current state. It is mostly all there but i am missing the hooked breech piece that affixes to the stock that the breech plug hooks into when assembled. It is also missing the brass pieces that holds the ramrod under the barrel (thimbles?). Other than that its all there and functions. My question is where would i find replacement parts? Ive looked at T/C's website and i see no way of ordering parts from them without shipping the rifle to them. Thank you for any help you can give.

Try calling T/C..I've dealt with them on several occasions and find them very helpful. Ask to speak with one of their gunsmiths...not customer service.
Also...did you search the gun auctions or Ebay for the parts you need?

What size tang do you need? Is it a 15/16" or 1" barrel?

Try looking at Track of the Wolf. When you get to the listing below, the first top two items have to do with the Thompson-Center tangs which is the piece you are talking about. There are two sizes, 15/16" for 50 caliber and 1" which fits 54 caliber barrels.

This for other Thompson-Center parts. They should have the brass thimbles and maybe the tang.

Man, you guys are life savers! All the web surfing last night and i got nothing. the track of the wolf is definatly what i need! Thanks!

I bought a T/C flint hawken at a gun show last year. It was missing a small part of the double set trigger assembly. Called T/C and told them what I needed, and 3 or 4 bucks, and two days later, had the part. Go directly to the source IMO.

The link I posted for "The Gunshop" may have everything you need so there's having to go 2 or 3 places to get your parts not including the extra $$$ paid in shipping!

Everytime I toto the TOTW web site, I lose vast amounts of time just looking at the guns there. Lots of eye candy

I have a friend who makes ramrod thimbles from spent rifle or pistol casings looks cool
