Theres a deal at Cabelas ending tomorrow where the Burris Fullfield II 3x9x40mm is $199.99 and theyre including a 10x32 Burris Landmark bino's($129.99 value)

The other deal ends at the end of the year where buying most any Bushnell scope will get you a free 1/4 zip fleece pullover(no name but "$129.99 value"). The scope I was interested in was the 3x9x40mm Elite 4200 @$299.99.

I think the Bushnell will be the better scope but the pair of bino's is the better gift. The scope will be mounted on a Sako A7 in 7mm Remington Mag. Which is the better deal? Speedy responses are greatly appreciated.

The Elite 4200 is in a class above that of the FFII, and well worth an extra Franklin.

Other than the rainguard, and depending on reticle, there is surprisingly little difference between the two.

1. The FFII can be had for $179 alone.

2. The binoculars are surprisingly clear and bright, but are only water-resistant, and have fogged in the field. Consider them something to give the kids or wife to look at birds, or maybe to take to the range to see targets 100 yards and in.

3. The 4200 has less eye relief.

Definitely. I have the 4200 3X9, and a buddy has the Fullfield II 3X9. No comparison.
