CCW renewl in Virginia

Hey guys,

Long time, no post!

So I'm in the Marine Corps and stationed in Hawaii. I just got back from my third deployment. I pulled out my driver's license for something, and noticed my concealed hangun permit behind it. And it expired November 4, 2010

Can I still renew? Or do I have re-apply?

Also, the address on it is no longer correct. How can I correct it?

A couple of facts for you. (If I read them right)

You still have to apply. The costs are not allowed to exceed $50. It can take up to 45 days. If you are military and are away while it expires it is still good for 90 days. You don't need to do fingerprints again. Here is the form, scroll down to firearms.

For listing of addresses, do I need to provide some proof of residency? Actually, for a renewal, do I still need to provide those addresses? Just for the previous 5 years?

(not to intrude, but it's been a day and I just renewed my VA permit...)

You do not need proof of prior residences, just the street addresses (including city & state), and the dates you lived there. I assume they will check the locality's records if they're interested.

And yes, only for the last 5 years.

Sweet. I'm sure it'll be an issue. The DMV messed up the address on my driver's license. This should be fun . . .
