That's a nice one too. I like the .308. Slightly heavier and doesn't collapse, but still a fine rifle; especially when you fit it with bigger clips.Remington pump action mag feed in 308.
AR and AK crowds have a point. That said, I suspect in The Total Breakdown of Civilization™ if you're going to be worried about replaceable parts, spare guns won't exactly be in short supply either... Right? Since they're just lying around for you to grab at? cwutididthere?
Either you have a bunch of guns lying around for parts or you don't, and if you do, there is then less emphasis to have yours specifically match those since you can just pick them up like the daisies they apparently are. Model then becomes less important than ammo availability. Again, if your gun is so common and interchangeable for parts that it's everywhere, why does it matter again save the ammunition it accepts? That's a rhetorical question btw. Of course, then you can start arguing degrees of civilization collapse, but it really boils down to this: Either you can find the parts-- and more than likely a working gun to replace your busted one --or you can't. I love my gun too, but if it's that broke, the one you stumbled across should work just fine unless that firearm just has utility that can't be replaced... By a gun so apparently so similar that you need it for parts :\
