If someone threatened you and you feared they would act on it...

I could go on and on, but to keep this sort of short. My advice...do not rely on Leo's for your safety, and family members will scatter when they see you need help. Arm yourself and be alert. Keep changing your patterns and move when the opportunity arises.
Sounds like good sound advice to me. You need a gun everywhere you go nowadays.

what is it the gov did to lowe?
They prevailed upon him to be the star witness against the most feared hitman in the Chicago mob, booted the case via incompetence and corruption, turned his life upside down, turning him into an alcoholic wreck and cut him loose.

Then when they FINALLY figured out that the first judge was on the take, they had the nerve to ask him to go through the whole thing AGAIN. Luckily for them he foolishly agreed to.

The whole story was detailed on the show.

Panzercat, I think you nailed it. The odds of one law abiding citizen, with everything to lose, winning out over a pack of revenge seeking thugs with nothing to lose is is extremely long.

Considering the "gang" is actually a cell (set) of an organization and not just some copycats (as is common in the United States), I would ask myself questions. Do I need to be here? If the answer is no, jump a couple states over, switch phones and start over. If the answer is yes, well I'd try to rectify the situation in a civil manner. If that failed, then I guess the coroner will be busy. With who? Only God knows. I know it would end up in with me either: in a ditch, a vegetable, or incarcerated for life. Thankfully, I respect human life, so I would never have to worry about shooting and stabbing it out with the local cartel.

It is highly unlikely that you would be threatened by an actual gang member unless you: snitched on one, attacked one, killed one, stole something from one, owed one money, screwed one's main girl (pardon the language) or are pulling customers from that gang's "business".

how was lowe cut loose? he and family were in witness protection

i can see being ticked about the corrupt judge. and for the record only one person can make you an alcoholic

They broke a side window out of my pickup to get to a garage door opener (non functional) on the sun visor.

Now that got my attention. I don't even want to count the number of people that inadvertantly do this on a regular basis, essentially allowing free access to their homes. Also telling is the fact that his perps went for it, meaning either on-site improvisation or- my guess -they've forced entry via that method before.

And dammit, cameras cameras cameras!
To point, you can buy a cheap canon digital camera, load it with CHDK hack and turn it into a motion sensing picture taker if you're on a budget.

That's odd, given that his life seemed to be going just fine BEFORE he got mixed up with the government. If you're going to blame him for being an alcoholic, then you should blame him for cooperating too, since he WASN'T a drunk BEFORE he cooperated.

you only watched the show right? mcnews? read his book
i don't blame him for being a drunk, i just hold him responsible for his own drinking.
why would we blame anyone for his choice to cooperate? he describes why he did well.
i was a drunk since my first drink just didn't show as much sometimes. never got any better when i tried to blame anyone else for it

If you're going to hold him "responsible" for his drinking, there's no reason not to hold him "responsible" for trusting the government. It wrecked his life, every bit as much as the drinking which it caused.
