S & W Perf Ctr Restoration Work

I have a S&W Mod 10, nickel, inherited from my father a couple years back. It's in good mechanical condition, shows some oxidation and holster wear from duty carry and from just hanging around the house in a leather holster. For sentimental reasons, I am considering contacting the S & W Perf Ctr to get input on a restoration job on this gun: refinish, complete action checkup and tweaking, new target grips. Nay input or suggestions from those of you who have dealt with the Perf Ctr ?

I don't know that you need the Perf Ctr, just send it back and let S&W refurbish the gun. The price was somewhere in the $200 range if I remember correctly. Look at the S&W site and you can find grips for any of their guns.

I would give a big plus to the on the restoration by S&W. I would not buy my grips from them. See a member on the S&W Forum by the name of Keith Brown for the very best in replacement grips for your father's M10. His grips are not only a work of art but extremely functional also!
