oxygen and temp. If you smoke cigs blow a puff of smoke in and that will cure the first round pop. water or wire pulling gel help some too

If you could shoot a blast of CO2 into your suppressor from a portable aerosol can just before firing, I'm sure that would reduce the first round pop.

I've never tried it, but people use those canned air (with the red straw) and put a squirt in to stop first round pop.

You Crazzzzzy !!

Water?

Do you know what kind of pressures you would cause with water? The cams are made to accept a constant pressure and the water would effect that and could possibly blow the suppressor apart and hurt the shooter, observer, etc...

Hope you are joking, because water is perfectly fine in a silencer. It doesn't take a lot, just a little bit.

Arent there some designs that actually perfom better when wet? Not being able to get a silencer wet would seriously degrade there tactical applications.

They all perform better when wet. You don't fill them up with water, you mist them or you can put wire pulling gel in them.

I prefer to use ultrasound gel. It's thicker, doesn't run as badly as water does and is water based.

Im glad the guys "in the know" came here and answered first. lol

Lots of bad info being spewed by people who have zero time behind suppressed weapons.

What I suggest (and what I do with my suppressors) is to squirt a small amount of White Lithium Grease in the baffles.

Buy the cheapest can of White Lithium aresol, that comes with the red straw that pops into the spray cap. (like the red straw you loose on your WD40).

A small amount of that keeps my .22, .223, 9mm, and 45acp cans quiet, especially on the 1st round.

For best results, use subsonic ammo, then all you hear is that nice smooth action followed by your bullet hitting its target :)
