All aboard the .410 bandwagon for 2011. Now I admire dual usage firearms as much as the next guy, but literally half their rifle line has been taken over by this .410 nonsense.

I can only take .410 in so many flavors and the Circuit Judge Lever edition is just... I mean what were they thinking? Actually, they were probably thinking about all the judge sales on the Taurus side, regardless of the demographic fueling those sales :banghead:

I'm not sure wether to laugh or cry, really.

How does that lever action revolver work? My best guess is that the lever cocks the hammer and rotates the cylinder, but please feel free to enlighten me. It seems a bit ridiculous, but they are really putting everything they've got into this fad. If it sells, then good for them. I hope they have enough sense to know when to shift their resources out of this niche.

Tax stamp here I come!

That's a big part of the appeal. It is a hand-gun (not a short barreled rifle).

No tax stamp required.

(And, yes, I admit, as one that reloads .45 Colt, it looks kinda neat)

It looks like it's still double action, so the lever would just cock the hammer for single-action shooting.

Well revolving rifles came in the 1800's and went back then too. And there have been some lever action shot guns. But there were no plastic shot shell hulls that could take the action abuse, so maybe? The 28 ga seems like they are heading in that direction?

I like the Wizard pistol :) And if it gets hung up in CALIF-DOJ (cause it's a handgun :() - it looks like you could order a Wizard rifle and then get the pistol grip to replace the butt stock :)

I see all sorts of possibilities here. I'll bet there is a market - East LA Gangs and street fights? I'll bet Hollyweird gets these into some movies?

The 22 mag revolving rifle thing. Would make a nice night time varmint hunter.

Reminds me of back when people bad-mouthed Liberace for his being gay. His response was, "I cry all the way to the bank."

Judge sales being what they are, I imagine there just might be a similar sort of crying. :D:D:D

So many anti-new guns nay-sayers. I think it is great that a company comes out with something new...
Here...I have a Ranch Hand and a Circuit Judge. I also have the money to buy such unusual and neat guns so i do,

Also got that silly unpracial PPS 42C pistol too in 7.62X25 of all calibers the stock is welded shut..
And the appeal of the Rossi Ranch Hand is because of the old TV Series -Wanted: Dead or Alive staring Steve McQueen.

I still don't understand why these are so popular. I was working in the industry when they were originally release and people went nuts over them.

All I could think about was how useless they were. Oversized for a .45LC revolver and 410 is useless for the stated purpose.

Yet I had dealers lining up to buy the things.

Companies make them because they are popular. I understand that. What I don't understand is why anyone would own one of these travesties.

I am missing it, Were{sic} is the lever action revolver???

Click on the link in the OP's post and then page through the catalog, you will come to it.
Perhaps I should note that you will see rectangular boxes in the right margin; if you hover the curser over that you will see it is an "advance one page" tab.

Behold the sillyness! Just when they are moving in the right direction they have to take 4 steps back.

It looks like something that came out of an anime.

That being said if it were in .454 casull then I might actually buy it for (censored) and giggles

Gelgoog beat me to it. Nay, I was not kidding, nor joking, nor jesting in any way, shape or form. A lever revolver rifle. :scrutiny:

I think Rossi is done with their adventures into .454 territory since they dropped the lever gun completely from there lineup (It was in the 2010 catalog in spite of its near non existence) and I don't intend on waiting until 2012 to pick something else up on a maybe even though I'd wish for one with hope beyond hope.

Now my question here is do the .410 levers on this page actually shoot 45-70 too? And reliably? I know you can, but shot shell expansion becomes an issue because of the slight size difference. Then there are feed/ejection issues, you get donuts with any sort of rifling, etc etc... I could be convinced if it can do both jobs passably well, but there are two different stock numbers on that last page. Ah well. :uhoh:
