If you could have one shotgun, one pistol and one rifle, what would it be?

I would have to say the following:

Shotgun: Remington 870 Police Tactical

Pistol: Glock 19

Rifle: AKS 47

Simple and dependable firearms that will hold up.

"If you had five apples and your neighbor stole two, what would you have?"

Evil Roy: "A dead neighbor and all five apples."
I like that kind of logic!

Rifle: FAL in 308. I'd preferably have an extra stock or two on hand so I can make it a para... no, I'd just keep it as a para model.

Shotgun: Remington 870. Its probably my very favorite gun, and no, I do not call her Vera

Pistol: I'm not too experianced with a bunch of pistols, so it gets its own seperate list. The first one that I can shoot well is what I would go with:
1) GLOCK 29 SF 10mm
2) 1911 .45ACP
3) Ruger GP100
4) Ruger SR9
5) FN Five-seveN

Rifle: A Bolt Action, .30-06 type cartridge.

Handgun: Rimfire Semi-Auto

Shotgun: Pump Shotgun in 12 gauge

With these three weapons I can handle most situations that require the use of a firearm. The rifle can handle 99% of North America hunting. The pistol could be used for plinking, small game hunting, and even self-defense, even though it would not be the best choice for that.

The shotgun on the other handgun can handle most bad guy situations. It can also be used for many hunting applications, espically if different barrels are used.

My $.02

Pistol: Ed Brown Special Forces carry
Shotgun: Holland and Holland (I don't care which one-just gimme it)
Rifle: Baer .308 AR

:)

My 3 From a tactical perspective

My guess is if we only have 3 guns something bad happened, so I want as much firepower as I could carry

shotgun - cva optima elite with a 20 ga barrel and my ic choke. Ammos cheap, and out to 100 yards, you're in trouble. I own it.

pistol - browning hp in 9mm. Shooting perfection in my opinion. Great for anything but varmits and LARGE animals. Great backup for the single shot 20 in a SD situation.

rifle - probably a good bolt action in .22 or .223. I have several .22 that would count.

i would take my
shotgun
winchester ranger 120 12 ga
rifle
(this is tougher choice)
savage110 in 22-250 long range fast and has power to drop man or beast up to deer size
handgun
again tough choice
1st id guess the gp 100 38/357mag 6in barrel
2nd ruger rst6 .22 6in semiauto

i will stand pat with my 870 12, rem 700.308, and colt 1911.

or..

my browning A5, sig 229 and M1a scout

or

my parker double, 4 inch S&W 19, and 336 30-30.

exactly. which kid do i love more ?

the safe has many many more 3 gun combos

Shotgun: Browning 525 Field, 12 ga. O/U (Hunt any birds, trap, skeet)
Rifle: CZ 527 .223 varmint (I don't hunt big game)
Pistol: FNH FNP9 (It just feels right)

Shotgun: Remington 870
Handgun: Glock 19
Rifle: Custom AR15 that I built - mid-length recce model.

pistol, rifle, shotgun

Handgun - I'm torn here. I would probably go with a revolver in .357 due to the versatility but my heart says CZ 75.

Rifle - I would get a SCAR17 - I would be able to change the barrels to fit different roles. Assuming FN releases any of the other barrels. Which it hasn't...still waiting for my SBR barrel for my 16...

Shotgun - I thought about going exotic but I would probably just stick to a 870. i wouldn't want my only shotgun to be picky about the ammo it gets feed.
