good day today

got off work a little early today and when i got home my wife greeted me at the door holding my .45acp ammo can and my Taurus 1911. she wouldn't let me in the house. only the gun/ammo and some cash and said i cannot return home until i go to the range for a few hours. she is a keeper thats for sure.

anyways got to the range which was almost empty which was nice. got set up and let em rip.



top left is 7 yards, 20rnds controlled fire
top right is 30rnds all double tapped
middle is 15 yards 30rnds
bottom left is 25 yards 10rnds slow fire
bottom right is 25 yards 10rnds slow fire.

not too bad concidering its been like 4 months since the last time i went to the range. i plan on a wilson combat skeleton hammer and sear as well as a trigger job on the 1911 to drop the trigger pull from about #6 or so to #4 so that should help a good amount there as well.

this was all with federal 230gr with a chip mccormic 10rnd power mag. i also put about 20rnds of my critical defence JHP's i carry in the gun and it feed them without a issue what so ever. im counting the days until i get my new don hume holster the wife ordered for me so then i can carry this 1911 more often.

wednesday the 1911 goes to the smith to get a lower trigger pull and maybe some wilson parts just because. after that i will grab some more ammo and hit the range again to see what i can do.

thanks again but mr nissan 240 fan doesn't owe me anything. its the internet, i don't take anything to heart. some are seeing a little more green then others at times, but thats life.

lol yea im quite lucky, she isn't much of a spender, i spend more money on her then she does herself. she just left for work again and wanted me to go to the range again but ive got yard work to do and its the first sunny day we are going to have for a while.
