Zastava PAP AK Question

Hello all, new member here. I have a Zastava PAP AK with the imported thumbhole stock and I DESPERATLY:banghead: want to change it over to the standard stock and grip. My problem is that the Zastava receiver is cut at a slant right at the rear where the stock goes. What AK stocks will fit a Zastava PAP? I can't figure it out :cuss:

and would appreciate any help or insight you all could give me.

(the furniture on my AK is black, but that's not neccesarily a deal breaker if I have to get a wooden stock and paint it.)

No, a standard AK stock will not fit any Yugo AK.

However, any Yugo AK butt stock will fit it.
It's not a "slant cut receiver" like a Norinco, the powers-that-be have just hacked off the end of a standard Yugo stamped receiver at an angle.

The Yugo AK butt stock won't appear "flush" (there'll be some exposed wood where the metal was removed), but it'll work fine. ACE Yugo receiver blocks'll work fine, too.

that points me in the right direction for sure. BTW, why did Zastave make that angled cut on the back of the receiver?
