Sorry for the crappy cell phone pictures. Anyways.... got a new truck so I figured I needed a proper truck gun. Century Arms WASR-10 with 75rd Romanian Drum, UTG Rail, Streamlight M3 on the right side of the rail, Pakistani H&K G3 Sling, Tapco Warsaw Length Stock, Magpul Moe Stubby VFG. I have invested in the AK about $150.00. It was a sweet deal of a trade..... The safety is on and the chamber is empty. Secured it with a thick steel cable lock to the steel frame in the truck.

I was bored and I've always wanted something for long distance trips. Just in case the SHTF when I'm traveling half of Florida. So I started to play around with the different rifles I have and the AK just was perfect. Fits under the rear seat as if it was made for it form the factory.

I always hear about people carrying "truck guns"

Must be nice. Around here, the cops would put a bullet through you, or beat you half to death with their clubs if they pulled you over and found something like that in the cab of you vehicle. Legal or not.

where do you live?

please let me know so I don't go there.

Haha! Toledo. One of most notoriously anti-gun cities in America.

And as much as I sort of have a little of that "home town love" since I've lived the bulk of my life here, I wouldn't really advise anyone to come here that doesn't have to. Its a sh*thole.

Ohio has a good gun reputation. We just have a hard time deciding which is the "legal" way of carrying a gun in a vehicle. :uhoh:

With my luck they WOULD shoot me on sight with that gear.

And I own an AK. FN (Herstal) cops.

This is not a very encouraging post. Where are these police who will put a bullet through you for something that is completely legal? I would like to know so that I can avoid ever being there.

You should practice getting the cable lock off while zombies bust through the windows and try to pull you out. That's what they always do in the movies-seems like it would be good preparedness training.

Awesome combo!
I'd think anywhere you go, you could expect one of two reactions from the LEO that pulls you over for hotrodding your new truck:
Can I hold it?
or
Getting tasered on general principal. ;)

you know i have never thought of that before! living so close to the gsm national park i dont think i could pull that off. my luck i would forget about it and head into cades cove and get thrown under the jail!

In Florida it's legal with a CCW and on top of that I am WELL VERSED in Florida Firearm Law. I enforce it along with everything else under Florida Criminal Statues.

This was more of mental gymnastics. I figured something would fit there and it did. PERFECTLY might I add. I carry a pistol plus a spare mag on me 24/7 and if I was that worried about something. I'd have my SBR 10.5 inch AR-15, SBR PS90, or my MSAR E4 AUG. The PS90 is the perfect truck gun because it's so damn small.... love that little thing. Best $200 I ever spent on a BATFE Form 1

Well done. Looks like theres quiet a bit of room back there. Who makes the Tundra? Is it a smaller Durango?

Toledo can`t be that bad. Wasn`t Klinger always trying to go back there?

Two patrolmen were killed a few months ago in West Memphis, crouching either behind the doors or partly inside their car.

The psychotic anti-govt. father and son stepped out during a traffic stop and suddenly opened fire with an "AK clone".

Other LEOs might remember the tragedy, so a very low-profile is good (with any gun) until out in the woods or by a range or gun show etc.

Lose the cable lock and the 75 round drum

If you need it you are probably gonna need it fast and getting the cable off is too slow. Keep a couple of loaded 30 rounders next to the gun. You can lock and load in a couple seconds, much faster than getting the cable off. The Drum is too big and bulky. I keep my Saiga in this condition and it is perfectly legal. As for securing the gun with the cable lock when you are not in the vehicle, it might be a good idea, just remember to take it off when you are in it. Cable locks and locks in general do not offer much security anyway. Bolt cutters cost $20 at Sears and your local hardware store and they will go through a lock in no time.

If I were you I wouldnt run that lock cable in front of the trigger. Could be a potential problem.

Nice set up. My delivery route took me to Toledo every morning. If I had this set up I would have felt more secure. Shame on you for not buying a Jeep [haha]
