Which one should I get? I would be buying the most recent production and in the case of the LCP, I would add the Crimson Trace laser. Please use the poll to vote and feel free to post persuasive comments. Thank you!

Urgh. I could not tell you.

Here's my experiences with them.

The LCP feels like it has a slightly sharper recoil for me, but is cheaper and I think it looks nicer as well.
The Bodyguard felt better on the recoil end and in the trigger, but that laser as well as the pricetag is a huge turnoff for me.

In terms of results I shot the Bodyguard better, but that laser was annoying as all hell.

The TCP actually had the best trigger but I shot it the worst. So yeah. Can't vote in this one.

Voted for the LCP. 400 rounds and 0 failures even in the break-in stage.

I voted for the Bodyguard.

PROS: Comfortable to shoot, decent DA trigger, nice set of sights, accurate for the job at hand.

CONS: Laser hard to activate, thumb safety hard to use and is noisy.

I have two LCPs; neither has ever given a moment's trouble in feeding or ejection. I had one failure to fire in close to 1K rounds. The guys at our club have a bunch of them, and they all work.
I've since picked up a Kahr P380 due to better ergonomics and sights; the trigger in particular is much better, as is the gun's angle in the hand. Now, all that said, there were teething problems with the Kahr. Not meaning to be off subject, but it doesn't hurt to think about all the choices.
The LCP is really hard to beat for the money; I'll agree with the previous poster who said not to worry with the laser. It's handy to be able to hit things at 50', but the reality is that these are point and blast guns; hard to justify using one in anger at greater than 21'

Have both and can't stand the LCP, it has to be the most miserable gun I've ever shot. I've only fired 100 rounds through the BG and it's fairly tolerable. I have large hands and the LCP feels like I'm catching fast balls from Randy Johnson.

Only own the TCP

My little TCP sits unnoticed in my right pocket in a Hunter pocket holster. Never had a hiccup, accurate at 7 yards. Just wish it carried more than 6 in the magazine. It's the only one I have had extended experience with. Almost identical to my buddy's LCP, which he has zero complaints about either. May consider the newer Taurus 9mm or .40, just would like to shoot them first. The little TCP has some pretty good recoil in .380, since it weighs practically nothing (easy to carry).

Just my $.02.

A lot of guns can develop feeling miserable or even depression if they are held wrong. Talking to them gently seems to help too, but you may get strange looks from other people at the range. :D

Those who say the LCP is hard to shoot (due to being so small, light and a lot of recoil), just think, you only have to shoot it when the bad guy presents himself in such a way that it is either going to be HIM or YOU.

Fortunately, that does not happen very often!

As for shooting at the range, I just take mine when I am shooting something else and will shoot a magazine or two just to be sure I can hit something at 7 yards and make sure my Crimson Trace is pretty much on at 7 yards. Other than that, I have shot it enough that it doesn't need to prove itself to me as it has never skipped a beat in over 500 rounds!

I reload for mine. I use 92g Meister round nose solid lead bullets for which I found a pretty accurate load - not too wild.

I did add the magazine extensions to the bottom of my four magazines which allows I think it was half a finger more to the grip hold.

Tried them both and liked the BG much more than LCP. Less recoil, more accurate and just felt better to me. I couldn't care less about the laser or the thumb safety. I won't use the laser and when I carry mine it's with the safety off in a pocket holster. If your finger ain't on the trigger the gun don't go bang. 400 rounds and no hiccups.

I have two Kahr's (PM9 and P380) for carrying but I would buy the LCP out of these two. I just have no experience with the S&W and only good experiences with the LCP.

I had the LCP and recently traded it in for a SW Bodyguard 38. Totally different beast, for sure. The LCP is small, light and can be carried in even a small pocket without too much inconvenience. But i HATE the 380 caliber. I'd rather have a 9mm makarov...Like a PA64. Essentially a Walther PPK clone. Gone mine for $200 in like new condition. Love it.
