Just picked up a new Sig P226 e2 a few weeks back for a song. Literally, like new, for $500 dollars with 3 factory 15 rnd mags. I've been waiting to get a Sig with the SRT/better grip for a while.

A buddy of mine is offering a Kimber Tactical Custom II with 2 WC mags for the P226e2 + $150 cash. I love 1911s but I had a helluva time with my last Kimber (Pro TLE II/LG) Gun never ran right, lots of FTEs and loading issues with self defense ammo. This 226 was jam free for over 250 rnds.

Keep the Sig that you're up a few hundred on, or trade for a high dollar 1911 and still be up about the same amount of money? Have you ever had issues with your Kimber, specifically the alum framed models.

Keep the Sig! Much simpler to maintain. Plus it's got a much better track record than Kimber. I've been wanting a p226 or p229 for a long time. You've got an excellent pistol, enjoy it!

You got a gun you've been searching for, just keep it. Since you got a killer deal on it, and had a rough one with your last Kimber, go with what you know.

Personally, I would keep the Sig. However, if you are interested in that Kimber and the guy is TRULY your buddy, he will tell you about any reliability issues that it has. Go with your gut.

While I love 1911s, have 6, it seems I love SIGs more have 7...Keep your SIG or take the trade and have your friend kick in the 150.
