Looking at buying a no dash 36 snub round butt blueing is so deep you can't see the bottom, slight turn ring on the cylinder has the pinned barrel serial # matched magna grips no box or docs asking price of $400.00 seems a little high to me what do you experts think has the small S&W logo on the left side no J in the serial # so a older gun. worth the 4 bills or not! thanks for the help.

If its looks good, $400 seems ok. Just sold mine a few months back for $500.
Buyer had no problem with the price and mine didn't have a box either.
It was in excellent shape and wasn't shot to often.

Well I did it again and the gun is already sold, the buyer told the seller after the deal he would have paid $450.00 for the gun so he thought it was excellent deal at $400.00 boy I am kicking myself I just didn't think the 36's were bringing that kind of money.

Paid $400 for my 36 no dash last year. No box, but it just barely had a turn line.

First thing I did was go shoot it! No queens at my house. :D

Saw a very nice 36 at a local shop this spring that was going for $500 even. Guess that's the rate these days.

Did it sell at that price, or sit on the shelf collecting dust?
That's kinda pricey for a 36 IMO.

Compare it to a new 'Classic' S&W and it doesn't seem bad. I paid $345 for one a couple of years ago without the correct grips.

Hello all

RON L here

I bought an Older used Model 36, it was a Gun the Guy carried and kinda screwed himself when he had it robarted, it dropped rthe colector intres and I bought it for $350.00 Plus maybe 25 to ship and FFL recieve, I'm Happy with it, Yea, these days 4400.00 Probabaly a good $, here mine:

It does seem the going price for a well kept M36 is up to $500 these days. I'm guessing that's because S&W no longer makes the M36 in favor of the M36 Classic which has a Retail price of $729. If it were still going for the normal J frame prices you wouldn't see a price tag of $500 on used M36's.

I was lucky enough 2 years ago to find an almost new M36 in the box for only $300 and my fingers almost jumped off my hand getting my wallet out of my pocket. Not even a turn line on the one I bought, well until the next day when I fired 200 rounds through it!!
