Congrats on your new revolver. The 547 is a unique and is a terrific revolver to boot. Prices are running high now. May I suggest you visit www.smith-wesson.com. A member there tracks the price of 547s and occassionally posts a graph of prices over a period of time. A search will reveal his posts. There is also a lot of information and discussion there on the 547.

I find my 547s to be the most accurate revolvers that I have shot and are a lot of fun to shoot. Somehow, they just feel better to me than other K frames. Hope you will post a photo of your 547,

The going rate these days for a 547 runs in the $700-$900 range depending on condition, which configuration, and if it has the box, etc. You'll see people asking a lot more than that but that's the range I've seen them actually selling in.

With the box and tools it should get a premium price.
