I'm choosing between a Kahr PM9 (3" barrel) or P9 Covert (3.5" barrel on the same sized grip). Am I likely to notice the difference at 15 yards (the max distance for my CCW qualification). Is sight radius a non-issue here? Does the slightly longer barrel help with felt recoil i.e. speed of follow-up shots?

Thanks in advance for your thoughts--the last round was very helpful.

Realistically the differences you would notice in velocity, sight radius, etc are going to be miniscule. However, I think the Covert is a better looking gun and, all other things being equal between the two, that would influence my choice.

Kahr

Go with ever which one is cheaper, Both pistols are of the CCW type and a half inch difference in barrell/slide length won't make a difference.

I would go with the Covert. Added barrel length won't hurt comfort or concealability. But more velocity and sight radius and especially less muzzle flash are all plusses in a fighting gun, even if they are not all that noticable.

Thanks all. Bought a P9 and will do the 'Covert' conversion once it's broken in and confirmed running reliably.
