My Glock 22 4th gen only has 2-350 rounds through it and the inside has cracked from firing I clean after each use at the range and once a month. What could have caused it and will glock replace for free?:banghead:

That looks like a manufacturing defect. I imagine they'll replace it.

If you send it back, do not send your magazines back with it. They just might send it back with mags.

Yep...send it straight to Glock. Don't go through you dealer unless you know he is particulary adept at that sort of thing...most don't like to bother since you can. Send nothing but the gun itself. I find that when you do they sometimes send back a mag for your trouble, maybe a nice box, etc.

I have never had to deal with Glock CS (I have 3) but S&W always threw something in.

They will make it right. The Gen 4 is new and maybe they have some issues with that area...issues they probably have already fixed and from which you can benefit. We all get that sick feeling when something is bad like that but so far, I have always gotten satisfaction...guns, cars, shoes, etc, etc, etc...

It almost looks like a casting defect. Those slides aren't cast are they? A defect in the bar stock that cracked & flaked out?

Your pictures are so large with so much in them, it is difficult to decipher anything. The second picture has a hollow spot in the casting and the metal on the corner edge looks mashed. Other than that, I also see NO CRACK!:scrutiny:

Just tore down my new G22 40 cal and looks similar to your second photo, but the imperfection is on the opposite side of my gun. Appears to be a slight defect in their injection molding die. Let us know if you do send it back to glock and what they tell you.
Hope you get your issue resolved.

Please circle what you are calling the crack in red or something because I'm with the other guys and don't see a crack

That's a new one for me and an odd place. I really can't see a crack but a possible defect. Send it back and let us know if you can what caused the problem.

I am actually with these guys when I say I don't see it. I am not calling you a liar or saying Glocks are perfect but I don't really see what you are worried over.

I have a gen 3 though so I am not sure I even know what the difference is in there haha.

Edit: I see what you are talking about now I think. I don't see a crack but I see a defect. I have a G19 and it doesn't really look too much alike from what I see in your pic but I do NOT have thin enough plastic to flake like that anywhere inside my frame.

I have a glock and I also do not see the problem in these pictures.

Can you point it out, or take new ones or circle it or something?
