Just wondering guys - the website and all literature that I've found refers to the Cobra derringer's frame as "alloy". Any idea what type of alloy? My main interest is that due to an obscure frame melting point law firearms with certian types of frame construction are not legal in my state (IE, aluminum is fine, but zinc is not).

Thanks!

I'm pretty sure the Cobra frame is Zamak (zinc), which is well below the usual legal melting point.

Cobre is out of business and you can't sell zink guns in Illinoise

Cobray and Cobra are two totally different companies.
Cobray imports some strange guns and parts.

Cobra Firearms is still in business and even coming out with new items. (not that they are great guns) I like their Derringers and I like their additional barrels like Bond has been doing for a long time but at a lesser cost.
BUT, Cobra's Titan Derringer is made from Stainless.

If you're looking for a compliant Derringer I highly suggest buying from Bond Arms. They are much more expensive and they are heavier but they are also much more reliable. (and made of Steel)
