Look, I'm not going to beat around the bush with this one.

I've been playing Duke Nukem: Forever and have come to the conclusion that I want a shotgun just like Duke Nukem's.

Functionality, practicality, these things have gone out the window. What's a good pistol grip-only stock and pistol grip forend that I can put on a Mossberg 500?

Is DNF absolute rubbish or not?

I like it a lot. It's just like the old ones - over the top action, tons of corny lines and cheesy stereotypical male fantasy action. It has me laughing half the time at how dumb it is. I think it's a great departure and critics probably didn't like it because somehow shooters have come to be expected as super-realistic combat in that fictitious middle eastern country that resembles Iraq. So it's refreshing to see one that treats the genre like it's 1996 all over again.

As for the ATI stock, thanks for the suggestion, I will look into that.

I do have to say that I don't like golden guns and I'm not a fan of engraving ... but I *would* own a 1911 like his.

ATI does make the stocks you're looking for. I had a top folder on my 870, but ended up selling it. They have a PGO set as well. Here's a pic.

Is DNF absolute rubbish or not? Critics panned it. But I love Duke Nukem 3D and Shadow Warrior.

DNF is horrible. I was a huge fan of Duke Nukem 3D and DNF is a disgrace. The graphics are crude, the gameplay is poorly paced, and the humor ranges from mildly amusing to ultra-lame.

Basically Gearbox bought whatever data 3D Realms had and pushed it out the door, knowing they will turn a profit due to nostalgia sales.
