Periodically I render forth a new novel, and now is such a time. Invariably my stories have revolved around firearms and their use in deadly situations. My latest work is called Castigo Cay, and it does not relate to the Enemies Foreign And Domestic trilogy except in their shared theme of a deep thirst for freedom. The main character in Castigo Cay is Dan Kilmer, a former Marine sniper. No monsters are hunted, but the bad humans are plenty bad enough.

The following firearms feature in Castigo Cay:

Glock 17 with three-pound trigger,
Smith & Wesson .357, stainless,
Ruger .380 pocket pistol,
Chrome-plated .45 caliber 1911,
Sig 226 with suppressor and green laser,
H&K MP-5, collapsible stock,
12 gauge Remington pump,
12 gauge Benelli semi-auto,
.308 Savage with 10x and bipod,
M-40A3 USMC sniper rifle,
5.56mm ARs with various optics,
AK-47, semi-auto with Aimpoint,
and a
USMC Ka-Bar knife.
Not a gun, but important to the story.

I've been waiting to see when this one would arrive. I'm looking forward to reading it.
Is there a preferred way to order it?

One copy of the book ordered from Amazon en route now!
Nice cover. Sounds like it will be a good read. ;)
Really enjoyed your Enemies Foreign & Domestic series.

Thanks. Castigo Cay doesn't carry over anything from the trilogy. It's also set in a near future semi-dystopia, but a different one.

Are you still living on the "Busted Flush" or have you had to replace it?

Thanks for the heads up.

The dozen guns in my new novel

Travis if they make a movie please insist on authenticity. I just watched SHOOTER again and the hero is still closing his eyes on most every rifle shot. I really enjoy your novels, lived in Ft Lauderdale for a couple years.

Holy cow, nice JD McDonald reference w/ that "busted flush".

Travis, I'm gonna check out your book.

OK. . . . . I am blaming you for getting to work late this morning!!!!!:cuss:

I was close to the end of Castigo Cay - and as you know - you gotta finish the last section without interruptions!!!!

SO I DID . . . . . . and I got to work late

Great novel Matt (aka Travis) - spellbinding right to the end.

BTW - just for giggles - last gun fired in the book - was the AK47

Thank you and thank Kindle.

Now for the missing 3rd in your EF&D series - ready for Kindle yet???????

I've always liked your "handle" of Travis McGee. I enjoyed reading the old Travis McGee books and always thought I'd like a houseboat at Bahia Mar named "Busted Flush". :D

Legal Alien: Glad you enjoyed Castigo Cay, and it's very true that you want to set aside time to read the last 100 or so pages without stopping.

BTW, I've finally put Foreign Enemies And Traitors on Kindle. Now all of my books are there.

Obiwan: John D. MacDonald was onto something good, setting his series on a (house)boat in FL. Something I've missed for a long time. This comes through in Castigo Cay.
