So much good news in this:

1. Paul's political career is over. He is unelectable.

2. He's leaving because the brady campaign is floundering and flailing (yea I know, his contract is up, but if you're doing good and/or if you're WANTED, your contract gets renewed).

3. The next "leader" of this pathologically lying group will be an unknown and donors will fall away.

4. Most young people know nothing about Jim Brady, or the brady bill, and could not care less. Thus, the name "brady campaign" is EITHER on it's way out, which will be like starting the group over. OR they will keep the name and young people will ignore it (make sure not to repeat the name of the brady campaign anywhere, just say "gun ban group" to help them be forgotten even more). Either way, we win. It's a good day to be a gun owner.

A sad day indeed... any new guy certainly can't top him in terms of sounding like an idiot.

I wrote about that the other day in my Examiner column

and then yesterday, some reporter from Fort Wayne interviewed me for a story he's doing.

Dang. This is not good. Who could possibly hurt the cause of the antis like he did. No, I'm not happy about this. I wish he would stay put. It really has been a boon for us having him run the anti show.

Ughhh... the article said he might come back to Indiana. I hope that "transition" takes a while.

Maybe we should all get together and send him a big gift basket and beg him to stay at the head if he can?

They tried to get Starbucks to declare themselves "no guns allowed" because open-carry advocates were meeting there.

Not a bad idea. Divide and conquer. Worked for ages.

I'll nominate Obama's former press secretary for the job. I was sorry to see him leave the white house. He was my favorite man in the administration. He always sounded so wonderfully clueless.

I feel like the "Brady" campaign is more well known by gun enthusiasts than any of the antis. So it's up to us to keep their name in the shadows

I think you underestimate the other idiots.

I think the whole "assault clips" fiasco probably did him in. Talk about a moronic statement, "assault clip", what's that? Lmao!

Turns out he meant 'A salt chips.' Someone needs to check his financial records and see just how much money he got from Laura Scudder......

I probably spend more time around antis than many of you, so I feel obligated to relay the following:

While we all know that Brady/Helmke make no sense when they talk and flat out fabricate terminology, antis don't know that nor do they believe you if you tell them.

We can laugh all day at "assault clips" but antis think they are real. They don't know what they are...but they think they are real. Antis believe ANYTHING that comes from the anti gun left.

My roommate a couple of years ago was extremely left wing and he would listen Air America in the car (back when it was still on the air). I remember them still spouting the same Kellerman studies that have been long discredited and using general scare tactics so classic of the gun control movement.

Rachel Maddow could call .22's "assault pellets" on her show and some people I know would run around like their hair was on fire screaming "we need to ban the assault pellets!!!"

Antis know nothing about guns...and they don't care.

Anthony Weiner would make a good spokesperson for the Brady Campaign. I hear that he's an anti-gunner who's currently looking for a job and has about the same level of integrity as the Brady Campaign.
