I have one of the short (approx. 3" long) 12 gauge/.45acp adapters. Its made short so it will function in repeaters. It shoots great and is lots of fun. You would be surprised how accurate at ten yards, even with the snubby length. A good back-up, a good trainer, just a lot of fun.
Trouble is I shoot it in an H&R single and I'd prefer a longer adapter. (At a reasonable price.) More velocity, more accuracy.

Say 6" long, in 12 and 20 gauge...what calibers would you like to see offered?
Most anything is possible, .45acp, .45 Colt, .44 Sp., .38 special, 9mm, .40S&W, .22 rimfire...I'd be interested in your ideas and experiences along these lines. Thanks.

Whoa, I don't think I've seen any that will function in a repeater. Since I don't have any non-repeating shotguns, I'm interested.

BBroadside, the Dina Arms adapter is what I was referring to, they are short enough to function in repeaters and have an o-ring on the inside to hold the round in snug.
Sounds strange, but works. Mine in .45acp shows no bulging of cases with hot loads.
They are rifled, and I was shocked at the poor quality of the rifling when I first looked at it. But my adapter was quite accurate, at least at 10-15 yards.
Made of aluminum, and that's strange too, but it is holding up well with about 100 rounds through, jacketed and cast.
Other than preferring steel over aluminum, my only real complaint is the assumed lack of velocity due to the short length, but with all the other surprises it gave me who knows, it might surprise me there too. Chronograph tests pending.

It's a lot of fun to shoot the H&R single shot like a rifle. With a little practice you soon see where to hold the bead. My adapter shoots very close to point of aim. Another surprise.

Here are three adapter outfits.

None of these 3 offer longer adapters, and I think Dina has the only rifled ones. Of the three, I have only used the Dina one.
Mcace offers longer steel adapters of good quality - however they are not inexpensive, and I keep hearing reports of difficulty getting him to respond to requests.
I emailed months (years?) ago and got no answer. An acquaintance told me that the only way he got an adapter from mcace was to have his sister who lived in Alaska go knock on his door!
