Hit the 1000 round mark with my LC9. In 1025 rounds I have not had a failure of any kind. While I have only owned the gun for a few months it has definitely won me over. I have made a few mods.... (removed magazine disconnect, lowered LCI, Shaved safety lever level.

It took me about 200 rounds to really get used to the trigger. Now I know, squeeze...bang.....release.....click....click.....squeeze. While the reset isn't short it is now very predictable. Two audible and felt clicks and I'm good to go for the next shot. At 25' I am keeping a hand size group with the occasional flier. All-in-all good for it's size.

Great job Ruger. She aint pretty but she's doing exactly what I need her to.

Here she is filthy on the seat of the car after 200 rounds this afternoon.

That's great news...1000 trouble free rounds. Got the same hat that's in your photo. It's my favorite.

Great to hear you have had 1000 trouble free rounds. You will probably get 5,000 trouble free rounds if you take good care of it. Congrats, that is the most we've heard of so far! :)

Sounds like a challenge :)

Believe it or not I put over 10,000 rounds through an early Keltec P11. When I sold it (during the Obamamania) I got $325 for it at a local shop. It still looked new and ran like a top. They had a sign up "Top $$$$ paid for your subcompacts".

I'm still trying to find the best way to work the trigger on mine. The pull is too long and break is at the wrong spot for my finger but I'm getting better with it. So far mine has been perfectly reliable as well but i haven't approached 1000 yards yet.

I'm not thinking I'll be able to hit anything at 1000 yards either :neener:

Over 1,500 mixed rounds through mine without a single gun caused malfunction. (couple bad rounds though)

I almost bought a second one at the gun show yesterday ($325)

But it doesn't do bad at 52 yards though.:)

Standing, two hands.

I was reluctant to buy an LC9 because they seemed so much like the PF9, turns out its looks only ;)......After picking up an LC9 to replace a (x2)broken Sig P290. I am seriously impressed with the little Ruger. It is a great shooter and has been 100% reliable, plus the LC9 is super comfortable to carry.

Love my LC9. I have about 500 rounds through it so far with no malfunctions. It's my favorite carry gun. It takes practice to get familiar with the trigger pull. I shoot it at the range every two weeks.

You guys who have the LC9, did you consider Walther PPS?

What other guns did you consider? It seems like there's a shortage of compact, single stack 9mm. I'd hesitate on the LC9 because of DAO.

50 yards is way out of the intended use range for this gun, Buck, but kudos for hitting some steel with it at that range. With a long, heavy DA, to boot!

My PPS experience was a complete disaster. I have been battling a PPS for the better part of 6 mos. When I bought it I thought it was the ultimate slim carry gun. The first time I took it to the range the extractor flew off on the first magazine. I found the parts and reassembled it. Later on the same trip the slide locked back solid and could not be released. A spring had broken and lodged it open. The armorer was able to get it stripped. He took a spring off of his own PPS that he was shipping back and put it on mine. I was good to go. I fired 3 magazines w/o an issue then the gun quit firing. The trigger did absolutely nothing. The backstrap had popped off. I put it back on and it worked 50% of the time but kept popping out. I swapped it for the other strap and it had the same issue. Back up to the armorer..... He looked and found a plastic tab broken off on the grip where the backstrap attaches. It was unfixable. When I got home I wrapped an innertube around the grip. Mind you, this is my new $650 carry gun and I have already had to repair it and redneck engineer it just to get it to function. I was able to take it out to the farm the next day and shoot a few mags but it started failing to extract after about 25 rounds. I threw it in my safe and let it sit....... A few mos later I decided to send it off to S&W. Several weeks later I had it back in my hands. This was last week. The slide felt better and buttery smooth. It hand cycled perfectly and I could tell they did some refitting. I was optimistic when I went shooting on Friday. Alas, it was still a POS. I never made it through a complete magazine without it failing. I ran by a local shop that a friend runs and he looked at the extractor with an eye piece. It appeared to be broken. We tried to order the part but they won't sell it. S&W told him that he had to send it in for them to repair.... That was enough for me so I traded it to him for something else. He is sending back to S&W...
