Attended a small/local gun show in Council Grove Kansas, yesterday. Sometimes I go for the guns and sometimes for the peoples. I don't know how it is on the east or west coasts at gun shows, but here, you'll see:
a) Two guys dressed to the nines in vintage Western gear, including the spurs and the revolvers strapped to their legs. I assume the spurs are to speed up their old pickups.
b) About 10 or 15 guys at any given time who all look like they just are reentering civilization after a long time away in the Unabomber's cabin.
c) One of the above spouting the myth of George Soros buying up all the gun manufacturers "and now the ammo makes too" to the wife half of a husband/wife sales team. She turned it right around and sold him a bunch of rifle ammo.
d) While browsing the Mosin booth, a guy beside me told me he had one of them...a sniper...that he took off a gook in Vietnam who had killed his corporal. ...used a Tommy gun to show him out of the tree. Did they issue Tommy Guns in Vietnam? The guy was using a cane so I gave him the benefit of doubt, but I still wondered.
e) No jerky booths or Nazi memorabilia.
All in all, a good time had by all.
