Anyone have any experience with the MBC 45 ACP IDP #1 200gr LSWC and Winchester WST powder?

I have found the Penn 200 gr LSWC does well with 4.6 gn of WST with OAL 1.25 and wanted to try the MBC #1. What load and OAL has worked.
Thanks

I would use the same load as you are using with the penn, I have used both and see no difference in either. Penn just cost more. Or they did the last time I bought some.

The Penn Match grade are only 1.00 more than the MBs and the target grade are 4.00 less than MB. The weight deviations on the match are less than 1 grain.

Actually, their "Target" grade is $.50 more than ours and the "Match" grade is $5.50 more. Of course, I'm going by their published prices, which I understand may vary from the actual price one gets when ordering, so I may be wrong.

By the way, how is this responsive to the OP's topic? I am curious as to your response, since it seems as though, every chance you get, you go out of your way to slam my company and this appears to be in character.

Sorry, I can't help you with the IDP #1, but I use a lot of the softer MB Bullseye #1 with 4.9gr of WST. I have 5 1911's and this load is scary accurate in all five, very soft shooting as well. WST is my favorite powder in the 45.

Thats because Super45 is probably bob palermo himself. They both claim to own a custom made 40 super 1911 also. If you simply look at his posting and linking style its obvious to see that. He wont quit until he is banned, I am sure, just like last time.

What he should have said is "Order from Penn bullets and play the lottery if you will get them this year."

Actually, the thought occurred to me too. His public profile doesn't contain locale information, unlike the profiles of folks who don't mind others knowing where they're from and have nothing to hide. Maybe I'm wrong, though, and he is out to get my company for other reasons.

I find it comical really. The best part is the way that the rest of the usernames that have been exploited run around the net trying to spread lies. There are no shortage of people that use your bullets that know better.

Looks like some good info above, no doubt. That same bullet would do well over 5.5gr of AA#2 also. I know that powder wasnt in the question, but it is a good load, none the less.

In response to the op's question I have used Wst with a variety of .45 bullets and it has done well and see no reason for it not to do well here.

I was quoting prices on 1000 quantities in which case my posting is correct, when comparing prices for 500 you are correct. I only raised it in response to the 2nd posting since I just got some in about two weeks ago after waiting only about 1 week for them.
I don't see where thats a slam aginst your company.

Thanks steve4102

Thanks for the feedback. I have 1000 of the IDP #1's and plan on loading groups of 10 at different loads to find one I like. I have loaded the Penn's with WST and 231 and really liked the way they shot with the WST. I will probably load some with 231 as well just to see how they perform but I really liked how clean the WST was and lack of leading.

Thanks again for the help.

I'm sure you will like the results you get with Missouri bullets, I know I'm happy.

As for those who use the NET to slam someone's company from behind the safety of their computer screen, well, you can't teach some people class... I have had nothing but good business from Missouri Bullets, from Penn Bullets, not so much...

While we are discussing faster burning powders for 45ACP, although many like WST/Clays for cleaner burning loads (and I agree), I also found Promo/Red Dot to be accurate and clean burning, even for lighter target loads.

As for accuracy, hard to beat MBC 200 gr SWC (IDP#1) with 5.0 gr of W231/HP-38. This load produces dime and quarter sized shot groups out of my 1911 at 7-15 yds.

For those not familiar, as to defensive comments regarding Penn Bullet vs Missouri Bullet, there's past history that resulted in Penn Bullet being banned from THR for violating forum rules with Missouri Bullet as the victim of those violations (and thus the "sensitive/defensive" comments).

As to Missouri Bullet, here is one of those rare companies dedicated to providing quality product and excellent service with unparalleled speed for processing orders that strives for customer satisfaction.
